Floating Texture // A Hanging Cloud of Silver Lace

Silver lace, or alpine lace vine, grows wild in my mom’s neighborhood, taking over fences and trellises with its dreamy, trailing vines. While one day helping her trim back her overgrown fence, I couldn’t resist saving some of the scraps—they were just too gorgeous to toss! With a little creativity, I turned those clippings into this magical, floating floral installation.

Using the airy vines as the majority, I added a few hydrangea blooms for texture and tied it all together with ribbons. The way the natural light hit the piece made it look like it was floating right in the studio. I see it as proof that you don’t need fancy flowers to make something beautiful—sometimes, the most stunning creations come from the simplicity of nature. Count this as your reminder that even garden scraps can become Pinterest-worthy magic!
